Data management

CSH Young Scientists & KIM - The architecture of empirical research projects: strategies and resources every PhD student should know

Planning and managing empirical research projects effectively is crucial, yet often challenging. Especially at the start of your projects, planning data management and streamlining (computational) workflows ensures the integrity of your research and saves time over the course of the project. This event will guide you through essential strategies for keeping your data-based research project organized. Johannes Bleher (CSH - Computational Science Hub) and Konstantin Kuck (KIM - Kommunikation, Informations- und Medienzentrum) will present helpful concepts and tools to make your research results easily reproducible, such as version control, hosting services and more. They will exemplify how these strategies can be applied using the services and research computing infrastructure available at the University of Hohenheim. Ideal for new PhD students and early-career researchers, this session will equip you with the tools and knowledge to manage your research data confidently and efficiently.
