Senate Representatives
What is the Senate?
The Senate is the central body of academic self-administration. It decides on fundamental matters of research, study and teaching.
Tasks:
- Election of the full-time and part-time members of the President's Office
- Approval of Structure and Development Plans (SEPs)
- Opinion on the draft budget or economic plan, on university contracts and target agreements, and on job descriptions for professorships.
- Adoption of resolutions on degree programmes, university institutions, departments and joint institutions and commissions
- Adoption of resolutions on University of Hohenheim Charter and other statutes
Note that Senate meetings happen in German.
